This gorgeous ruby red malt was initially aged for ten years in American Oak Barrels before being re-racked into Ruby Port Pipes. The secondary maturation period further develops the depth of flavour and complexity, as well as bestowing a vibrant, rich colour. Bottled at 48%, with no added colouring and unchilfiltered for flavour.
Distilled at GlenAllachie and released as part of its Wood Finish collection, here we have a splendid 12 year old single malt. The whisky spent a decade resting in American Oak, before a second maturation in ruby Port pipes! Rich and vibrant, it’s packing plenty of rich, musty character – a most delightful dram.
