Situated on the North East coast of Islay, Caol Ila distillery is home to one of the lighter styles of Islay whisky. On the nose, our Tasting Panel recorded maritime notes, fishing nets and smoked applewood. On the palate, notes of toasted marshmallows, dates and apricots were recorded. This was then followed by a rounded finish of toasted oats, ash embers and strawberries.
