Woodford Reserve Batch Proof 119.5 β the 2025 annual release of the Masters Collection Batch Proof series: the standard Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey bottled at the batch's natural proof of 119.5 without water addition, presenting the full undiluted character of roughly 120 barrels blended and measured at cask strength.
The Batch Proof concept is deceptively simple. Woodford Reserve produces its bourbon the same way every year β the same 72/18/10 corn, rye, and malted barley mash bill, the same triple copper pot still distillation blended with column still whiskey from the Brown-Forman facility in Louisville, the same heat-cycled stone warehouses. The only thing that changes in the Batch Proof is the final step: instead of reducing the batch to the standard 90.4 proof with water, it is bottled at whatever proof the selected barrels naturally reach.
That proof varies each year based on barrel selection. Upper-floor barrels in Woodford's heat-cycled warehouses experience more aggressive temperature cycling, produce more evaporation, and concentrate to higher natural proofs. Lower-floor barrels produce lower proofs. The particular mix of barrels selected each year β approximately 120 barrels per batch β determines the final number. 119.5 is the 2025 vintage's natural batch proof, 29.1 points above the standard 90.4.
